Fossil fish impressions from the Smoky Hills chalk in Kansas, fish skeletal remains and coprolites are all that remain of our state’s watery past. See examples of fishy fossils and how such impressions occur with Eleanor Gardner from KU’s Natural History Museum. Local fossil hunters and enthusiasts Quentin and Jan Hancock will show examples from their personal collections too.
